A Hernandez Middle School librarian from Round Rock ISD was chosen for a national fellowship aimed at boosting students’ media and news literacy skills.

The fellowship will support the district’s efforts to improve news understanding among students.

Leander ISD dedicated the new Geiger Compass Center on Saturday to honor longtime educator Denise Geiger for her 32 years of service — the center will offer transition services for students.

In Cedar Park, updated guidance issued on September 18th clarified that Texas’ parental consent law did not require parental approval for nurses to provide basic health care—such as giving Band-Aids or checking a student's temperature—at local schools.
