- ➤ Leander ISD has withdrawn its permit application to build a secondary access road linking Vandegrift High School — Four Points Middle School after reviewing US Fish and Wildlife Service requirements. The district said it will no longer pursue the plan. Hill Country News

- ➤ Cedar Park fire chief James Mallinger was appointed by Gov. Greg Abbott to serve on the Texas Commission on Fire Protection for a term ending Feb. 1, 2029 — he will help develop and enforce statewide fire service standards. FOX 7
- ➤ Cedar Park City Council reported Alexis Frezza won the only contested race, and two unopposed candidates will be sworn in later this month - their selection was announced after the election results. Hill Country News
