🎓 Education
Jenni Skopal, a nurse at Stiles Middle School for Leander ISD, has been named a finalist for a statewide award recognizing excellence in school nursing.
The district announced her nomination, which highlights her commitment to student health.
Leander ISD opened transportation registration for the 2026-27 school year, asking families with eligible students to confirm student ID and emergency contact details with their campus registrar (by May 15) and to submit forms by May 31 to guarantee bus service on the first day.
Leander ISD is marking May as Mental Health Awareness Month by encouraging families to watch for early warning signs and build routines that support students’ emotional well-being (a key step for local educational success).

Williamson County held an art exhibit and awards ceremony on April 22 at the Georgetown Annex to mark National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
County officials used the event to honor victims and highlight local contributions.
