🚨 Crime
Two people were arrested on April 2 for a January 2 shooting at Lakeline Mall in Cedar Park, with 20-year-old Yaneth Medina booked in Travis County for tampering with evidence and a juvenile male booked in Williamson County for aggravated assault and deadly conduct after the mall went into lockdown and a minor injury was reported.
🏛️ Government
A five-mile toll road opened early Wednesday morning along US 183A between Hero Way in Leander and SH29 in Liberty Hill to ease traffic congestion for drivers—offering a faster, nonstop option compared to the frontage road.
Williamson County is considering a tollway along Ronald Reagan Boulevard between FM 1431 and I-35 to help ease growing traffic from the area's population increase.
County and city officials will review toll lane plans and funding options, and a study will take about a year (CTRMA may help finance the project).
