About this event
Chris Ruest is an American blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter based in Texas. He is well-regarded for his authentic, vintage 1950s-style electric blues, jump, Chicago, and Gulf Coast blues sounds. He is originally from Connecticut and picked up the guitar at 15, and was
inspired by traditional Delta blues and Elmore James. He relocated to Texas in 1999, establishing himself in Dallas and eventually Austin's roots music scene. He's best known for albums including Too Many Problems (2005), No 2nd Chances (2008), Live at Shakespeare's (2011), It's Too Late Now (2017), and Been Gone Too Long (2018). His style features tough, classic guitar-driven melodies combined with honest, unaffected vocals. Chris tours nationally and internationally throughout Europe and the Americas. His music is available on Spotify and Apple Music. Ruest will be performing with the legendary Ernie Durawa Band. Doors: 6:30 PM. Show: 7:00 PM. Tickets are $20. Reservations are recommended at OpenTable De Nada Cantina. Super Tacos and Margs are served in the showroom. https://www.opentable.com/booking/experiences-availability?rid=1488049&experienceId=840386&shareReferrer=web
