Historic Colored Addition Listening Session Hosted by the Equity Advisory Board

About this event

Every neighborhood has a unique history shaped by the people who have called it home. As infrastructure improvements continue in Pflugerville's Historic Colored Addition and the City's Equity Advisory Board works through the HCA Beautification Plan, they want to hear from those who know the neighborhood and its history best.

Come to the pfirst in a series of listening sessions pfocused on the history of the Historic Colored Addition. This is an opportunity to share stories, reflect on the neighborhood's history and help identify the people, places and experiences that should be remembered and preserved. The Equity Advisory Board also hopes to connect with individuals who may be interested in participating in an oral history project.

Stories and perspectives shared during these sessions will help guide the Board's historical research and inform pfuture signage, public art, educational materials and other efforts to recognize the neighborhood's history.

We recognize that some of these stories may be difficult to tell, and we're grateful to those willing to help preserve this important part of Pflugerville's history.
