Silks & Sling Fundamentals

Silks & Sling Fundamentals welcomes beginners as well as experienced students who are looking to refine their technique in all things fabric! This fun, challenging class uses both the Silks (aka Aerial Fabric) & Sling (aka Aerial Hammock) to delve into exciting new skills while building strength, coordination, and flexibility. Class Goals: - Create stability in the shoulders, back, and core to hang from the arms - Build the strength and coordination for short-arm inversions - Find pathways to get in the air and back to the ground with control - Master foundational positions that allow you to explore new vocabulary Fundamentals classes are designed to be taken regularly as a supplement to your current aerial practice. More experienced students will be given progressions to find greater ease and fluidity on the apparatus. Prerequisites: None - open to all! This class is for students ages 16+.
