Ballet (Beginning 2 Level - 2 to 4 years' experience)

Beginning 2 is the next level up from the beginning 1 level of drop-in ballet classes for adults but is still taught at a beginning level. (2 to 4 years' experience) Beginning 2 ballet adds to the basic vocabulary and positions, and involves more center work But the focus is still on barre work. Each class includes barre work and some center work. 2 to 4 years' experience is recommended before taking the Beginning 2 drop-in ballet class. If you have had less training or it has been awhile since you have taken a ballet class, you may want to consider the beginning 1 ballet class. The nature of the drop-in ballet classes allow you to move around until you find the class that best fits your needs. If you prefer to start at the absolute beginning , we recommend the Absolute Beginning Ballet Workshop Dress code: Leotard and tights are great but you can also wear a T-shirt or wrap sweater and sweatpants, shorts, or a skirt. Proper fitting ballet technique shoes are required and we recommend canvas over leather.
