Contemporary (All Levels)

About this event

This class will be an opportunity to dance and have fun at any ability level! All Levels Contemporary will offer a challenge to develop your technique, artistry and performance ability, but remain accessible to those with less technical background. Contemporary is a versatile art form that can be danced to almost any style of music, or combined with other dance forms to create new styles. This class starts with a warm-up that combines elements of improvisational movement and modern technique. The bulk of the class will focus on a longer combination that includes large, sweeping movement, & exciting phrasework. We play with musicality, dynamics, and performance choices, encouraging dancers to develop and display their own natural strengths and movement patterns within the choreography. Our instructors are masters at modifications. Those with more experience will feel challenged and those with less experience can still learn and enjoy.
