TRUTH TIME: YES, BREASTFEEDING IS NATURAL BUT IT’S NOT ALWAYS INSTINCTIVE. HEAR US NOW, BELIEVE US LATER: PREPARING AHEAD OF TIME WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF HEARTACHE (AND NIPPLE PAIN!)

In this one-evening class, Stephanie, our Certified Lactation Counselor will help familiarize you with the natural instincts you and your baby already have and cover:

• The lowdown on milk production

• How to position & latch your baby onto the breast, painlessly (yes, it’s true!)

• Reading your baby’s cues & feeding according to you and your baby’s unique rhythm

• How to know your baby is eating well

• Preventing engorgement, soreness and other potential problems (and what to do if it happens)

• An eye to the future: how/when to use a pump, storing expressed milk and weaning

THE SCOOP:

• 2nd Thursday evenings, 7:00-9:00pm

• Group class: $75 per couple

• Private, in-home class: $120 (call 512.222.5655 or email info@austin-born.com to schedule)

• Class fee includes bound, full-color notebook for handy reference when you get home + ongoing phone & email support postpartum with Stephanie, our CLC (you won’t find that offered in any other class, we guarantee!)
