About this event

Illuminating Futures - An Evening with Junior Achievment

Empowering young people. Inspiring futures, together.

Thursday, November 5, 2026 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM | Austin PBS Studios

Join us for an inspiring evening celebrating three exceptional Austin visionaries—two business leaders and one educator —whose leadership, service, and commitment to expanding opportunity embody the mission of Junior Achievement. These honorees are helping shape our community, inspire future generations, and create pathways to economic mobility and success.

We're keeping the celebration distinctly Austin, with a lineup of local favorites! Guiding us through the evening are emcees Allison Miller , anchor of Austin CBS Morning News, and John-Carlos Estrada , sustainable fashion influencer and advocate. Guests will enjoy a curated menu and signature cocktail from The Peached Tortilla , cocktail-hour music from Stephanie Bergara , founder and lead vocalist of Austin's beloved Bidi Bidi Banda, and the unmistakable energy of DJ Mel , voted Austin's Best DJ in 2026.

Together, we'll celebrate the remarkable impact of our honorees, discover how Junior Achievement equips students with the skills and confidence to succeed, and connect with Austin's leading business and community changemakers.

Best of all, your participation makes a difference. Proceeds from the celebration directly support Junior Achievement experiences for students across Austin and Central Texas, helping prepare the next generation of leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs.
