About this event
BLACK DIVAS returns for Season Three with another unforgettable evening of music, beauty, storytelling and Black Maternal Health awareness.
Produced in partnership with Austin PBS, BLACK DIVAS brings some of Central Texas’ most extraordinary Black female talent to the national stage while using the power of broadcast television to elevate conversations surrounding maternal and women’s health.
What began here in Austin is traveling across the country. From Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., and back home to the Lone Star State, BLACK DIVAS is carrying the artistry, stories and voices of Black women into communities nationwide.
But this night is about more than what happens onstage.
BLACK DIVAS makes room to celebrate the people doing the essential work of caring for women and families: gynecologists, midwives, doulas, mental health professionals, birthworkers, advocates and maternal health organizations. Healthy women and healthy families are the bedrock of flourishing communities, and the people supporting them deserve to be seen, honored and celebrated.

Our Prima Divas are the heart and voices of BLACK DIVAS. Each brings a distinct artistic presence, lived experience and commitment to community to the broadcast.
These extraordinary women have graced national and international stages, navigated motherhood and birth through their own unique journeys, and continued to use their artistry to create beauty, connection and impact.
Season Three brings them together once again for a night worthy of their voices.
