About this event

Try something new.

CURIOSITY is Creative Curiosity's monthly exploration series where we experiment with a different creative process, material, or hands-on craft. Each gathering is an invitation to learn something new, play with unfamiliar tools, and discover the joy of creative exploration.

You'll receive step-by-step guidance while having plenty of room to experiment, ask questions, and explore at your own pace. The focus isn't on making something perfect. It's about trying, learning, and enjoying the process.

This Month:

CURIOSITY: Stitched Greetings

In CURIOSITY: Stitched Greetings, we're exploring embroidery on paper, combining colorful thread, simple stitches, and watercolor to create a collection of handmade greeting cards.

We'll start with the basics of stitching on paper, from preparing your cardstock and threading a needle to creating lines, shapes, and decorative details. Then we'll experiment with watercolor washes, painted illustrations, and stitched embellishments to bring our cards to life.

Think little flowers, winter greenery, geometric patterns, colorful borders, or something entirely your own.

Make a card for someone you love, send a little note of encouragement, or create something so lovely you decide to keep it for yourself. (I won't tell.) 💌

What we'll explore:

• Simple hand-embroidery stitches and techniques for working on paper

• Combining watercolor with thread and texture

• Creating stitched patterns, illustrations, and decorative details

• Designing and assembling your own greeting cards

All materials are provided, including cardstock, embroidery floss, needles, watercolor supplies, and envelopes.

You'll leave with a small collection of handmade greetings and a new technique to keep experimenting with at home.

Who It's For

CURIOSITY is designed for adults of all experience levels who enjoy exploring new creative processes, materials, and techniques. Each workshop offers step-by-step guidance alongside plenty of room to experiment, ask questions, and develop your own approach. It's a space for curious minds, playful exploration, and discovering new ways to make things.
